Boolean Operators
The Boolean connectors AND, OR, and NOT are often used to combine keywords when searching electronic databases. Use of these operators can make your search more focused, thus yielding more precise search results. But before using the operators, it's necessary to understand how they actually work. Often students wast time looking through hits on a search engine that are not related to what they are looking for. Using Boolean operators can help broaden or narrow a search to make search engines more effective.
