There are lots of good tips for creating effective multimedia presentations out there. Here are 5 tips that I think are key in creating an effective presentation:
1. Always start with a plan of what it is you want to get across to your audience making sure you consider the age range of the audience.
2. Be consistent with your font size and layout.
3. Minimize the number of words used in each slide.
4. Add emphasis to the important areas of interest with color, bold font, italics music or sound.
5. Avoid unnecessary noise or animations that could be considered a distraction.
