If a teacher waned to begin podcasting with students in the classroom one valuable freeware program is AUDACITY. It is a program that allows students to record right onto their computer any combination of sounds, music or verbal message. They can then mix and edit the recorded tracks, save and export as an Mp3 that can be uploaded to another free software application iTunes. With iTunes students can subscribe to podcasts and download them onto their iPods for listening at anytime. Windows Photostory 3 is another freeware program that can teachers and students can use to create a story board of any event using pictures taken and uploaded from an digital camera.
